​
“whenever you get there, there is no there there”

this work takes its title from gertrude stein’s remark in her memoir,​ everybody’s autobiography (1933). I find myself inhabiting surreal circumstances amidst social distancing and movement restriction controls in an already impossible world. I consider the form of the digitalized “live” work as an absurd paradox. in this performance for the camera, a dancer is seen starting over and over again from frame left.
